‘MAHALO KE AKUA… MAHALO DONALD TRUMP’– Donald Trump Wins Hawaii Caucus

Donald Trump Wins Hawaii Caucus - March 8, 2016Nathan Paikai is one of the directors of the Donald Trump campaign in Hawaii. Paikai offered some heartfelt remarks for the local news, after learning of Trump’s win.

I believe that Paikai’s sentiments, captured below, represent the overwhelming number of Americans who line up, sometimes under the most extreme inclement weather, to show their support for Donald Trump– the “imperfect” man who has had the courage to confront the corruption inside the GOP, and in doing so has managed to perfectly capture the imagination and the passion of the American public– on all sides.

Please listen to Nathan Paikai’s remarks, which begin with “Mahalo Ke Akua… Mahalo Donald Trump,” (thanks be to God, and thank you Donald Trump, in Hawaiian):

Mainstream Media Hypocrisy and Donald Trump’s ‘Manhood’

MAINSTREAM MEDIA HYPOCRISY. COPYRIGHT © MARIELENA MONTESINO DE STUART. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.The hypocrisy of the mainstream media continues to offend the intelligence of the American voter. For years the so-called “journalists” and political pundits of the mainstream media have been throwing in our face homosexual “marriage” and abortion “rights” as being normal. But now that Donald Trump has defended his ‘manhood’ the mainstream media is reacting with indignation. This is the height of hypocrisy!

Mitt Romney is the Reversible Man– the Republican Party in Free Fall

Mitt Romney’s farcical speech on March 3, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah

What an embarrassing moment for the collapsed Republican Party. Bringing out Mitt Romney as a unifier today by having him deliver his farcical speech in Salt Lake City, Utah– is laughable at best.

Romney followed a script straight out of Barack Obama’s narrative. The similarities are remarkable:

Barack Obama:If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

July 13, 2012 presidential campaign speech in Roanoke, Virginia.

Mitt Romney:He [Donald Trump] inherited his business— he didn’t create it.

March 3, 2016, University of Utah’s Hinckley Institute of Politics Forum, Salt Lake City.

Mitt Romney seems to have forgotten his very own wealthy upbringing– and the benefits he received from being the son of the powerful and influential George Wilcken Romney (July 8, 1907 – July 26, 1995) an American businessman and Republican Party politician. Romney Sr., was chairman and president of American Motors Corporation from 1954 to 1962, and became the 43rd Governor of Michigan from 1963 to 1969. He went on to serve as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development from 1969 to 1973.  Mitt Romney’s mother, Lenore Romney, was a candidate for the U.S. Senate from Michigan.

Here is an article I published about Mitt Romney when I met him during his visit to Naples, Florida, on March 9, 2010. You may have missed some very unpleasant facts about Mitt Romney’s reversible nature. Here’s your chance to catch up on Mitt.  Don’t miss it!

The GOP Debate in Detroit: Not a word about Abortion

Another long debate with so much acting-out and little or no substance. Another show for network ratings and profits– and not a word about the defense of innocent human life. A nation that elects a leader who does not place the defense of innocent and defenseless human life above all– is a nation which has sold its future to materialistic atheism.

Censored in China

you_doodle_2016-02-29t01_43_11z

He had grown accustomed to the perks that come with being a powerful property tycoon who plays according to the Communist Party rules– that is until his fingers got too happy on the keyboard.

Ren Zhiqiang had over 30 million followers on his microblogging account. But everything came to a screeching halt when he criticized Xi Jinping, the President of Communist China. Mr. Ren asked for state media to serve the people of China- who, after all, are the ones who pay for it. Beijing’s government immediately took action to censor and shut down his account and issued statements accusing Mr. Ren of subversive activities against the government.

The BBC reports:

The Cyberspace Administration of China accused Mr. Ren of publishing “illegal messages that had a bad impact.”

As a Communist dictatorship, China maintains very strict Internet regulations– which include blocking major websites and censorship of posts by audacious bloggers. China’s censorship program is massive– given the fact that China represents the largest online population in the world.

China has issued new rules, which will take effect on March 10, banning foreign media and foreign joint ventures from posting content online without the blessing of Communist Party officials. The BBC’s English language website has been blocked in the past across China. On October 15, 2014, BBC Global News director, Peter Horrocks said it appeared to be “deliberate censorship,” on a BBC article titled “BBC’s website is being blocked across China.”

With this scenario in mind, I am not surprised that BBC’s China Editor, Carrie Gracie, is currently taking “long service leave” from China until the summer, and has returned to the U.K. Here’s an excerpt that appeared in The Guardian (28 February, 2016, titled: BBC’s Carrie Gracie: ‘China is difficult– a giant piece of history rising’)

China’s political situation worries her greatly. “The level of oppression, Orwellian security is very serious,” she says. “I feel perhaps I need to ratchet up the coverage over some of the sombre truths.

Last summer, some Hong Kong booksellers disappeared– and journalists are under constant threat. Lawyers are being imprisoned (but I must admit that the idea of trying to practice “law” under a Communist dictatorship is baffling!).

Xi Jinping is turning out to be Mao in a suit and tie. His reign of terror is driving underground just about anyone who opposes him. Or they leave China, before it’s too late.

Obama’s failures in Iraq keep mounting

More death and destruction took place today in Baghdad. The New York Times has issued the following report– which confirms Obama’s failure in that region:

BAGHDAD — Militants attacked an outdoor market on Sunday in eastern Baghdad, killing at least 59 people and wounding nearly 100, officials said.

A bomb ripped through the crowded Mredi market in the Shiite district of Sadr City, a police officer said. Minutes later, a suicide bomber blew himself up amid the crowd that had gathered at the site of the first bombing, he added.

Interior Ministry spokesman Sad Main said the bombings killed 38 people and wounded another 62.

Multiple hospital officials later increased the casualty toll to 59 dead and 95 wounded. All officials spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to release information.

The attack was the deadliest in a wave of recent explosions that have targeted commercial areas in and outside Baghdad.

Obama’s approach of leading from behind has failed. The military experts that he sent to the area a few months ago do not appear to have the situation under control– and the ISIS bloody footprint in Baghdad, as the capital of Iraq, will be very difficult to remove. The new POTUS in 2017 will have to do a major overhaul of our Middle East policy.

Cuba matters

As someone who suffered under the bloody Communist dictatorship of Fidel Castro, I am deeply concerned about the lack of interest in discussing the plight of the Cuban people  during the Republican presidential debates. There has also been little or no discussion of Obama’s one-way diplomacy with Cuba. This silence about Cuba, on the part of the candidates, extends to their time on the campaign trail. Two of the candidates for POTUS, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, are sons of Cuban immigrants. What’s going on?

THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH: The Ringmaster and the 2016 Race for the White House

Whipping them into submission…

I am very touched by the overwhelming support of this popular article. Please continue to SHARE it… because the truth is contagious!

Adapted from a painting titled Portrait of Mr. Van Amburgh as he appeared with his animals at the London Theatres, by Sir Edwin Henry Landseer (1846-1847).

I don’t think I can take another GOP presidential debate. Yesterday, Donald Trump looked like a ringmaster being attacked, not by two lions– but by two pit bulls, in the form of Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz– while critical issues fell by the wayside.

Things got so out of hand last night– that Dr. Ben Carson, the brain surgeon, asked to be attacked so he could have a chance at saying something, as a presidential candidate in the arena.

The entire debate was centered on Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz attacking Trump. This made Rubio and Cruz look awkward– since they are more comfortable in their normal environment of reciting lines. Reciting lines is all Rubio and Cruz have time for at the end of the day, after compromising their future as public officials, by running after pro-LGBT donors and others with their own political agendas.

Major pro-LGBT Republican donor backs Rubio

Ted Cruz is Guest of two Gay Businessmen in New York City

Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio voted in support of Obama’s “Gay”-Activist Judge, Todd M. Hughes

After seeking donations from pro-LGBT donors and voting in favor of confirming Todd M. Hughes (Obama’s “Gay”-activist judge)– Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio still have the nerve to tell us that they want to defend traditional marriage.

Thank God that at least Donald Trump, with all his imperfections, is not running after the powerful LGBT collective and other special interest groups. Donald Trump is funding his campaign with his own money.

Having said this, I strongly disagree with Donald Trump’s remarks about Planned Parenthood offering valuable health services to women– even though he has made it clear he will defund Planned Parenthood if they continue to conduct abortions. Planned Parenthood is so immersed in the field of abortion– that it is impossible to trust them. There are plenty of medical facilities across the United States where women can seek health services, without the need of walking into a Planned Parenthood center.  Trump really needs help on this subject.

Donald Trump is also misinformed on the issue of Cuba— although it was not discussed in last night’s debate. Trump believes that Obama could have made a “better deal” or a “stronger deal” with Cuba.

The Communists in Cuba do not deserve deals. They need an offer they can’t refuse, which should result in freedom for the Cuban people– after more than half a century of death and destruction under a Communist dictatorship. Pressure works, NOT dialogue.

Here’s a quote from the Daily Caller interview of Donald Trump by Senior Editor, Jamie Weinstein (September 7, 2015 “Donald Trump on his nuclear doctrine, democracy promotion and why he refuses to use the term Supreme Leader”):

TheDC: What do you think of the opening with Cuba? Do you think that is a good policy, or do you oppose America’s opening with Cuba?

Trump: I think it’s fine. I think it’s fine, but we should have made a better deal. The concept of opening with Cuba — 50 years is enough — the concept of opening with Cuba is fine. I think we should have made a stronger deal.

But what hope is there in Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, when it comes to Cuba? Both of them consider that Nelson Mandela was a great manNelson Mandela was one of the most ruthless Communist terrorists of the 20th and 21st Century– and a close friend of Fidel Castro.

WHAT DO TED CRUZ, MARCO RUBIO AND NELSON MANDELA HAVE IN COMMON? Copyright Marielena Montesino de Stuart. All rights reserved.
NELSON MANDELA and FIDEL CASTRO: Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio consider that Nelson Mandela was a great man.

Those of us who defend the unborn without exceptions– and advocate that marriage must be restricted to one man and one woman, know full well that there’s no one out there right now– who wants to win— who will come out in the middle of an election and confront these issues head on, considering the corrupt environment of the GOP.  I did– during my campaign for the U.S. Senate in 2012 (on the ballot, Florida)— and I lost, but my position on these matters will always remain intact. My open and uncompromising defense of the unborn, without exceptions, as well as my denouncement of the homosexual collective was too much for the GOP establishment. Furthermore, my opinion on trade, Communist China and Sustainable Development did not endear me to the GOP pit bulls who line their pockets in these areas. Even my argument for a tougher stance on those doing business with Cuba was met with restrained approval by many Republicans.

Donald Trump knows full well that this so-called “debate” is nothing but entertainment for ratings– and Trump treats it as such– while Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz attack him. But even with my penchant for humor, having been a very hard working candidate myself, I would be very frustrated on that stage not being able to elaborate on critical issues that affect public policy, trade and foreign affairs. As such, these “debates” turn into a circus– and a string of missed opportunities.

Meanwhile, Trump’s approach seems to be working. In fact, so much so, that he even ordered Wolf Blitzer to “move on“– when Ted Cruz complained that Trump called him a liar. Blitzer immediately did as Trump ordered. He moved on.

Wolf Blitzer ended the event by saying, “Mr. Trump, thank you– and thanks to each of the candidates.”

It’s obvious that Donald J. Trump is the ringmaster, in what has become the greatest show on earth: the 2016 race for the White House.

Condemned by Karl Rove and the Corrupt GOP Establishment

By Marielena Montesino de Stuart

As expected, Karl Rove is making the rounds spewing his calculations of the 2016 presidential race and condemning those who do not meet his approval. But Rove’s analysis is greeted with derision by Americans who reject the corruption and predatory practices inside the Republican Party establishment.

During my campaign for the U.S. Senate in 2012 (on the ballot, Florida) I faced the onslaught of CONDEMNED BY KARL ROVE AND THE CORRUPT GOP ESTABLISHMENT Copyright © Marielena Montesino de Stuart. All rights reserved.obstacles from the GOP establishment in Florida. My experience in 2012 is evident again this year– but to an even more vicious level, considering that now it involves the race for the White House.

Here are my reflections on the corruption inside the Republican Party– and the operatives who dedicate their lives– and line their pockets– by preventing authentic conservatives from getting elected (originally published on 18 February, 2013):

“Karl Rove is not the problem. Let me tell you why…”

We all know that Karl Rove is a man who puts power and money before principles– and he does not hide it.  At least you cannot accuse him of trying to cover-up his true colors.  Such is not the case with other chameleons posing as “conservatives”.

My candidacy for the U.S. Senate 2012 (FL) as an authentic conservative Republican (social and fiscal) who never ran for office before –-turned into a Herculean effort to overcome the roadblocks, opposition or wall of silence placed before me, by groups and individuals who claim to be “conservative” Republicans.  In spite of this, I was able to raise enough money to intensely campaign throughout Florida for an entire year– and to qualify as one of four candidates on the ballot.

My experience on the campaign trail showed that there are very few authentic conservatives– and they certainly are not connected with the GOP establishment.  Of course, anyone who is a Republican these days claims to be “conservative”.

If we had so many conservatives, our nation would not be in such a deplorable social and fiscal state.

This farcical claim to conservatism has reached such a scandalous level, that there are true conservatives who are afraid to be associated with the “other conservatives.”

Reflections on my cup of coffee

This morning, as I was drinking my cup of coffee and catching up with assorted news items, I reflected on an article published by USAToday titled, The architect’s designs incur wrath of GOP’s grass roots (captioned above).  The article begins with a quote by radio talk show host, Mark Levin.  I must say that– while Levin may have supported certain candidates in the past that were perceived as conservatives– my experience showed me that he failed miserably with his endorsement during the U.S. Senate Primary 2012 in Florida.  His endorsed candidate eventually dropped out– not because he lacked money– but because he could not present a true contrast against the liberal Democrat incumbent.  I contacted Mark Levin both in writing and by telephone, after listening to him say on the air that the candidate he endorsed  was “the only true conservative“ in the U.S. Senate Primary in Florida.  The  abrupt assistant who answered the phone at his radio show told me that Levin was not interested in speaking to any other Republican candidate in the U.S. Senate Primary race in Florida.  My letter to Levin went unanswered.  His actions left much to be desired– and disappointed many who were long-time listeners of his show.

Club for Growth and its president, Chris Chocola, are also mentioned in the USAToday article.   Chocola’s statement–- that electability is “a false standard” that favors popularity over principle– is not representative of Club for Growth’s actions.   Chocola went on to say that his club  ”is trying to improve the gene pool of Congress based on principle.”

Really?

My personal experience with Club for Growth is that it absolutely puts money before principles.  When I contacted Club for Growth as a very hard-working authentic conservative grassroots Republican candidate, I was asked to raise a minimum of $500,000 before Club for Growth would even consider me, in spite of my strong positions on the economy, national security and foreign policy– and in spite of having received a prestigious endorsement from Republican Congressman Robert (“B-1 Bob”) Dornan (Ret), one of the most conservative voices ever heard on Capitol Hill.

When I insisted that I was a principled candidate that would not follow political expediency, I was again asked to raise $500,000 in order to be considered viable.  So much for principle before popularity.  I have to assume that my pro-life without exceptions– and my pro-traditional marriage positions, did not make me “viable” in the materialistic environment of Club for Growth.  Mr. Chris Chocola should be more careful with the statements that he is giving to the press.  Some of us with experience are watching and listening closely.

There are many other groups, not mentioned in the USAToday article, who also claim to be “conservative”.  These groups say that they stand for principle over money– but their actions do not reflect their words.  Donors beware.

My recommendation remains the same.  Public policies must be based on the Commandments of God and the Natural Law– which binds all men, for all time and in all circumstances.  This is the only authentic conservative path that will lead to the urgent protection of our right to life, freedom, property and happiness.  Anything else is charlatanism, greed– and a disguised desire to simply be in control of the big government that is forcing our nation into a Socialist abyss.

Karl Rove is not the problem.  As conservatives, our problem is the enemy within.

It’s time to lift the fog… someone has to say the truth.

Is Fox News Recalibrating your Conservative Brain?

By Marielena Montesino de Stuart

A reader brought to my attention statements made by Peter Johnson Jr., the Fox News legal analyst. Johnson suggests that Republicans need to “recalibrate” immediately– and should consider Obama’s next Supreme Court nominee. Let’s examine this juridical travesty.

IS FOX NEWS RECALIBRATING YOUR CONSERVATIVE BRAIN? Copyright © Marielena Montesino de Stuart. All rights reserved.

I have never been a “fan” of any particular news program or network. As such, I obtain my information from different sources (and in various languages)– without allegiance to any specific source.

I look for truth and facts.

We all know too well how the mainstream media lies and spins issues. Case in point: Fox News– which has been pitching itself as a “fair and balanced” news source for conservatives– appears to be the poster child of farcical conservatives hoodwinking their loyal “conservative” fans.

Peter Johnson Jr.’s position as a legal analyst for Fox News– and his connection with Roger Ailes, the Chairman and CEO of Fox News and the Fox Television Stations Group, has placed Johnson on a privileged legal opinion pedestal.

Roger Ailes’s four-year contract with News Corp., is said to have been negotiated by Johnson for a reported amount of over $30 million annually.  With this kind of money in play, it is obvious that Johnson is being given a strong platform on Fox News– but are “conservatives” paying attention to what Peter Johnson Jr., is saying?

I recently republished a piece I wrote on September 25, 2013 detailing the unanimous US Senate Republican confirmation of Todd M. Hughes, a liberal gay-activist judge nominated by Barack Obama. In my commentary I stated that we cannot trust the Republicans currently in the US Senate if they’re faced with Obama’s nominee to the Supreme Court vacancy left by Justice Scalia. However, Peter Johnson Jr., seems to trust these Republicans who have let us down, time and again– as they fail to uphold authentic conservative values– not with words, but with deeds.

Please listen to the following audio recording of Johnson’s statements to Tucker Carlson on Fox (16 Feb. 2016). The transcript is also provided below. Johnson’s legal opinion reflects exactly what is wrong with the GOP:

TUCKER CARLSON (HOST): I think there’re very few Republicans who want to see President Obama in his eighth year in office fill the ninth seat of the Supreme Court. The question is, as a tactical matter was it wise for the Senate majority leader to say we’re not even going to consider a nominee?

PETER JOHNSON JR.: No, I think the Republicans have to recalibrate immediately.
When you make a mistake, say you make a mistake. Part of the reason the outsiders are doing so well is that they’re disgusted with the Congress of the United States. Democrats and Republicans. And if you were a Republican leader to say we’re not going to count any nomination, any person that the president puts up, that’s a problem. They’re going to have a countdown and a clock as to the intransigence of the United States Senate going forward.

CARLSON: So you’re saying it would be wiser just to take a look at the nominees and then evaluate them and then turn them down if you don’t like them?

JOHNSON JR.: It is what I’m saying. In order to be true to conservative principles, in order to be true to the Constitution, in order to be true to the memory of Justice Scalia, then you say yes, Mr. President, send who you want to send over. We’re going to take a look at that man or woman, whoever you send, and we’re going to make a determination. Because you obviously have decided in spite of precedent, most precedent, you say in an election year that you want to force the issue. Fine. If you want to force the issue, then you will force the issue, and we in due time, just as you in due time making a nomination, will decide whether to consent to that nomination of a United States Supreme Court justice.

CARLSON: So they wouldn’t have to confirm the nominees.

JOHNSON JR.: The Republicans need to step it back at this point and say, listen, we’re going to grieve for Justice Scalia at this point, then we’re going to make a determination about where we are. There’s no line in the sand. My concern is, A. conservative principles, B. the Constitution and also the future of a two-party system. Where will the Republican party be two or three years from now when it is remembered that the Republican party said we would not — we would not even look at a nominee for the United States Supreme Court? It’s not smart. It’s not good for our future. It’s not good for our governance, and it’s not good for the notion that this government is responsive to the needs of the people. We need a Supreme Court with nine folks on it. It’s that simple. They need to step it back today.

There are those who simply want information poured into their brain by talking-heads on television. For such people, Fox News is the perfect source. But if you are a person who thinks and you are tired of being lied to or given half-truths– then it is time that you step outside the box– before individuals like Peter Johnson Jr., continue to “recalibrate” your conservative brain.

In spite of the onslaught of socialism and assault on our freedom of speech– thinking, after all, is still allowed.

It’s time to lift the fog… someone has to say the truth.
