Marco Rubio sinks in Florida, Now asks Ohio to support Soros-Funded Kasich!

Rubio has destroyed his career in public office with his unfulfilled “conservative” promises– and to say that Floridians are disappointed is an understatement.

Marco Rubio appears to be sinking fast in Florida. Given his Florida fiasco, Rubio’s campaign is now asking his supporters to vote for Soros-funded Kasich in Ohio, in order to bring down Trump. This is precisely why I published an article yesterday, titled, “WE NEED A PRESIDENT WITH COJONES…”— which Rubio seems to lack!

John Kasich receives $202,700 from Soros Fund Management. Despicable!

George Soros is one of the most dangerous Demons behind the spread of Communism worldwide.

Marco Rubio has compromised his career and reputation as an elected official, by socializing with and running after wealthy pro-LGBT activist donors like Paul Singer (the New York hedge-fund guru behind  Elliott Management), by voting in favor of Obama’s liberal judge, Todd M. Hughes– and by honoring Nelson Mandela, a Communist terrorist. These are just a few of his misguided actions.

Remember that these actions were taken by Marco Rubio as a U.S. Senator– even though he claims to be a Roman Catholic and was elected by Floridians based on his promise to uphold conservative values. What a farce!

And let’s not forget Marco Rubio’s apathy for his job as a U.S. Senator. He seems to be allergic to the voting process on the US Senate floor. It appears that he hardly shows up to vote… but he did have the time to participate in the liberal Gang of Eight for immigration reform– which included none other than the gutless Democrat, Chuck Schumer.

It is my opinion that Marco Rubio’s actions, described above, do not represent what is best for America, based on authentic conservative principles.

Not even the powerful pro-LGBT activist donor, Paul Singer, could keep Marco Rubio from sinking. Rubio’s campaign request that Ohio support Soros-Funded Kasich in order to stop Trump– is nauseating and cowardly.

Someone has to say the truth…

‘MAHALO KE AKUA… MAHALO DONALD TRUMP’– Donald Trump Wins Hawaii Caucus

Donald Trump Wins Hawaii Caucus - March 8, 2016Nathan Paikai is one of the directors of the Donald Trump campaign in Hawaii. Paikai offered some heartfelt remarks for the local news, after learning of Trump’s win.

I believe that Paikai’s sentiments, captured below, represent the overwhelming number of Americans who line up, sometimes under the most extreme inclement weather, to show their support for Donald Trump– the “imperfect” man who has had the courage to confront the corruption inside the GOP, and in doing so has managed to perfectly capture the imagination and the passion of the American public– on all sides.

Please listen to Nathan Paikai’s remarks, which begin with “Mahalo Ke Akua… Mahalo Donald Trump,” (thanks be to God, and thank you Donald Trump, in Hawaiian):

THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH: The Ringmaster and the 2016 Race for the White House

Whipping them into submission…

I am very touched by the overwhelming support of this popular article. Please continue to SHARE it… because the truth is contagious!

Adapted from a painting titled Portrait of Mr. Van Amburgh as he appeared with his animals at the London Theatres, by Sir Edwin Henry Landseer (1846-1847).

I don’t think I can take another GOP presidential debate. Yesterday, Donald Trump looked like a ringmaster being attacked, not by two lions– but by two pit bulls, in the form of Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz– while critical issues fell by the wayside.

Things got so out of hand last night– that Dr. Ben Carson, the brain surgeon, asked to be attacked so he could have a chance at saying something, as a presidential candidate in the arena.

The entire debate was centered on Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz attacking Trump. This made Rubio and Cruz look awkward– since they are more comfortable in their normal environment of reciting lines. Reciting lines is all Rubio and Cruz have time for at the end of the day, after compromising their future as public officials, by running after pro-LGBT donors and others with their own political agendas.

Major pro-LGBT Republican donor backs Rubio

Ted Cruz is Guest of two Gay Businessmen in New York City

Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio voted in support of Obama’s “Gay”-Activist Judge, Todd M. Hughes

After seeking donations from pro-LGBT donors and voting in favor of confirming Todd M. Hughes (Obama’s “Gay”-activist judge)– Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio still have the nerve to tell us that they want to defend traditional marriage.

Thank God that at least Donald Trump, with all his imperfections, is not running after the powerful LGBT collective and other special interest groups. Donald Trump is funding his campaign with his own money.

Having said this, I strongly disagree with Donald Trump’s remarks about Planned Parenthood offering valuable health services to women– even though he has made it clear he will defund Planned Parenthood if they continue to conduct abortions. Planned Parenthood is so immersed in the field of abortion– that it is impossible to trust them. There are plenty of medical facilities across the United States where women can seek health services, without the need of walking into a Planned Parenthood center.  Trump really needs help on this subject.

Donald Trump is also misinformed on the issue of Cuba— although it was not discussed in last night’s debate. Trump believes that Obama could have made a “better deal” or a “stronger deal” with Cuba.

The Communists in Cuba do not deserve deals. They need an offer they can’t refuse, which should result in freedom for the Cuban people– after more than half a century of death and destruction under a Communist dictatorship. Pressure works, NOT dialogue.

Here’s a quote from the Daily Caller interview of Donald Trump by Senior Editor, Jamie Weinstein (September 7, 2015 “Donald Trump on his nuclear doctrine, democracy promotion and why he refuses to use the term Supreme Leader”):

TheDC: What do you think of the opening with Cuba? Do you think that is a good policy, or do you oppose America’s opening with Cuba?

Trump: I think it’s fine. I think it’s fine, but we should have made a better deal. The concept of opening with Cuba — 50 years is enough — the concept of opening with Cuba is fine. I think we should have made a stronger deal.

But what hope is there in Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, when it comes to Cuba? Both of them consider that Nelson Mandela was a great manNelson Mandela was one of the most ruthless Communist terrorists of the 20th and 21st Century– and a close friend of Fidel Castro.

WHAT DO TED CRUZ, MARCO RUBIO AND NELSON MANDELA HAVE IN COMMON? Copyright Marielena Montesino de Stuart. All rights reserved.
NELSON MANDELA and FIDEL CASTRO: Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio consider that Nelson Mandela was a great man.

Those of us who defend the unborn without exceptions– and advocate that marriage must be restricted to one man and one woman, know full well that there’s no one out there right now– who wants to win— who will come out in the middle of an election and confront these issues head on, considering the corrupt environment of the GOP.  I did– during my campaign for the U.S. Senate in 2012 (on the ballot, Florida)— and I lost, but my position on these matters will always remain intact. My open and uncompromising defense of the unborn, without exceptions, as well as my denouncement of the homosexual collective was too much for the GOP establishment. Furthermore, my opinion on trade, Communist China and Sustainable Development did not endear me to the GOP pit bulls who line their pockets in these areas. Even my argument for a tougher stance on those doing business with Cuba was met with restrained approval by many Republicans.

Donald Trump knows full well that this so-called “debate” is nothing but entertainment for ratings– and Trump treats it as such– while Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz attack him. But even with my penchant for humor, having been a very hard working candidate myself, I would be very frustrated on that stage not being able to elaborate on critical issues that affect public policy, trade and foreign affairs. As such, these “debates” turn into a circus– and a string of missed opportunities.

Meanwhile, Trump’s approach seems to be working. In fact, so much so, that he even ordered Wolf Blitzer to “move on“– when Ted Cruz complained that Trump called him a liar. Blitzer immediately did as Trump ordered. He moved on.

Wolf Blitzer ended the event by saying, “Mr. Trump, thank you– and thanks to each of the candidates.”

It’s obvious that Donald J. Trump is the ringmaster, in what has become the greatest show on earth: the 2016 race for the White House.

Condemned by Karl Rove and the Corrupt GOP Establishment

By Marielena Montesino de Stuart

As expected, Karl Rove is making the rounds spewing his calculations of the 2016 presidential race and condemning those who do not meet his approval. But Rove’s analysis is greeted with derision by Americans who reject the corruption and predatory practices inside the Republican Party establishment.

During my campaign for the U.S. Senate in 2012 (on the ballot, Florida) I faced the onslaught of CONDEMNED BY KARL ROVE AND THE CORRUPT GOP ESTABLISHMENT Copyright © Marielena Montesino de Stuart. All rights reserved.obstacles from the GOP establishment in Florida. My experience in 2012 is evident again this year– but to an even more vicious level, considering that now it involves the race for the White House.

Here are my reflections on the corruption inside the Republican Party– and the operatives who dedicate their lives– and line their pockets– by preventing authentic conservatives from getting elected (originally published on 18 February, 2013):

“Karl Rove is not the problem. Let me tell you why…”

We all know that Karl Rove is a man who puts power and money before principles– and he does not hide it.  At least you cannot accuse him of trying to cover-up his true colors.  Such is not the case with other chameleons posing as “conservatives”.

My candidacy for the U.S. Senate 2012 (FL) as an authentic conservative Republican (social and fiscal) who never ran for office before –-turned into a Herculean effort to overcome the roadblocks, opposition or wall of silence placed before me, by groups and individuals who claim to be “conservative” Republicans.  In spite of this, I was able to raise enough money to intensely campaign throughout Florida for an entire year– and to qualify as one of four candidates on the ballot.

My experience on the campaign trail showed that there are very few authentic conservatives– and they certainly are not connected with the GOP establishment.  Of course, anyone who is a Republican these days claims to be “conservative”.

If we had so many conservatives, our nation would not be in such a deplorable social and fiscal state.

This farcical claim to conservatism has reached such a scandalous level, that there are true conservatives who are afraid to be associated with the “other conservatives.”

Reflections on my cup of coffee

This morning, as I was drinking my cup of coffee and catching up with assorted news items, I reflected on an article published by USAToday titled, The architect’s designs incur wrath of GOP’s grass roots (captioned above).  The article begins with a quote by radio talk show host, Mark Levin.  I must say that– while Levin may have supported certain candidates in the past that were perceived as conservatives– my experience showed me that he failed miserably with his endorsement during the U.S. Senate Primary 2012 in Florida.  His endorsed candidate eventually dropped out– not because he lacked money– but because he could not present a true contrast against the liberal Democrat incumbent.  I contacted Mark Levin both in writing and by telephone, after listening to him say on the air that the candidate he endorsed  was “the only true conservative“ in the U.S. Senate Primary in Florida.  The  abrupt assistant who answered the phone at his radio show told me that Levin was not interested in speaking to any other Republican candidate in the U.S. Senate Primary race in Florida.  My letter to Levin went unanswered.  His actions left much to be desired– and disappointed many who were long-time listeners of his show.

Club for Growth and its president, Chris Chocola, are also mentioned in the USAToday article.   Chocola’s statement–- that electability is “a false standard” that favors popularity over principle– is not representative of Club for Growth’s actions.   Chocola went on to say that his club  ”is trying to improve the gene pool of Congress based on principle.”

Really?

My personal experience with Club for Growth is that it absolutely puts money before principles.  When I contacted Club for Growth as a very hard-working authentic conservative grassroots Republican candidate, I was asked to raise a minimum of $500,000 before Club for Growth would even consider me, in spite of my strong positions on the economy, national security and foreign policy– and in spite of having received a prestigious endorsement from Republican Congressman Robert (“B-1 Bob”) Dornan (Ret), one of the most conservative voices ever heard on Capitol Hill.

When I insisted that I was a principled candidate that would not follow political expediency, I was again asked to raise $500,000 in order to be considered viable.  So much for principle before popularity.  I have to assume that my pro-life without exceptions– and my pro-traditional marriage positions, did not make me “viable” in the materialistic environment of Club for Growth.  Mr. Chris Chocola should be more careful with the statements that he is giving to the press.  Some of us with experience are watching and listening closely.

There are many other groups, not mentioned in the USAToday article, who also claim to be “conservative”.  These groups say that they stand for principle over money– but their actions do not reflect their words.  Donors beware.

My recommendation remains the same.  Public policies must be based on the Commandments of God and the Natural Law– which binds all men, for all time and in all circumstances.  This is the only authentic conservative path that will lead to the urgent protection of our right to life, freedom, property and happiness.  Anything else is charlatanism, greed– and a disguised desire to simply be in control of the big government that is forcing our nation into a Socialist abyss.

Karl Rove is not the problem.  As conservatives, our problem is the enemy within.

It’s time to lift the fog… someone has to say the truth.

AFTER DEATH OF SUPREME COURT JUSTICE SCALIA– Can you trust US Senate Republicans with the next Supreme Court confirmation?

By Marielena Montesino de Stuart

Consider this, as you watch press conferences, television ads, GOP debates and town hall meetings:

U.S. Senate Republicans (including Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio) unanimously voted YES on September 24, 2013 to confirm Barack Obama’s “openly-gay” judge nominee, Todd M. Hughes, to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. This was one of the moments when authentic conservatives in America understood, once again, that the current Republicans in the U.S. Senate cannot be trusted.

Remember that this unanimous vote by US Senate Republicans, in favor of this openly-gay judge, took place while family businesses– such as cake bakeries, wedding photo studios, etc., were being publicly harassed and forced into litigation, by the homosexual collective across the United States, for refusing to render services for homosexual “weddings”– based on their religious and moral beliefs.

Screen Shot 2016-02-13 at 7.43.57 PMGiven today’s news of the death of Supreme Court Justice, Antonin Scalia, may he rest in peace, can you trust the Republicans in the U.S. Senate with the confirmation of the next Supreme? Some authentic conservatives lost all hope after the US Supreme Court ruled that homosexuals have the right to marry. But for those of us who still hope that the United States can be saved from the abyss of materialistic atheism, the confirmation of the next Supreme is still cause for concern.

Here’s my article from September 25, 2013 detailing the unanimous US Senate Republican confirmation of Todd M. Hughes:

THE TRUTH: Feigned conservative Republican U.S. Senators voted “Yea” for Judge Todd M. Hughes

WHERE ARE THE MEN AND THE WOMEN OF GOD?  Not in the U.S. Senate!

Republican U.S. Senators pulled a fast one, while conservatives across America are focused on supporting the important efforts to defund– and eventually bring down Obamacare.  These U.S. Senators are clearly telling us that they are only interested in fiscal problems, but not moral issues that are having devastating effects on public policy.  Another episode of willful delusions in government.

BALLOT - PRIMARY - U.S. SENATE (REPUBLICAN) 2012 - FLORIDAThere is a reason why I ran for the United States Senate, as an AUTHENTIC CONSERVATIVE Republican (On the Ballot 2012):  to fill the void of authentic conservatism in the U.S. Senate!

Here is another evidence of the tragic reality that we are facing:

Todd M. Hughes is an openly homosexual judge, appointed by Barack Obama.  He was confirmed 98-0, to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  Republican U.S. Senators who are being paraded as “conservatives,” were part of this travesty.

EXCERPT FROM THE WHITE HOUSE ANNOUNCEMENT (Sep. 24):

This afternoon, the Senate unanimously confirmed Todd Hughes to serve on the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Like all of the President’s judicial nominees, Hughes has the intellect, experience, integrity, and temperament to be a successful judge. He is also gay.

The United States Courts of Appeals are the second-highest courts in the nation – a level just below the Supreme Court – and there has never been an openly gay judge to serve on a Court of Appeals until now.  Hughes’s historic confirmation is yet another “first” among President Obama’s federal judges.”

So Todd M. Hughes’s  sexual recreation as a “gay” man is extolled as a virtue– and is part of his qualification to serve as a judge in the second-highest court in the nation.

Alliance for Justice offers the following background information on Todd M. Hughes:

Excerpt:

He [Todd M. Hughes] is a former member of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Attorneys of Washington and the National LGBT Bar Association.

What can we expect next?

And these Republican Senators, who call themselves “conservatives”– had the audacity to cast a “Yea” vote, in support of Barack Obama’s pro-homosexual agenda.

God, please help us.

The traditional family is under vicious attack by an army of legislators who push liberalism and materialistic atheism– as they advance homosexual “marriage”– in their pernicious homosexual itinerary.

Meanwhile, it is very clear that it’s all about money and political expediency, for these feigned conservative Republican U.S. Senators.

Yes, of course, we want to get rid of Obamacare.  But trusting these politicians with your money, when you can’t even trust them on moral issues that are having devastating effects on public policy– is called willful delusions in government.

Someone has to say the truth…

This scenario may explain why Ted Cruz was the guest of honor at an event in New York City organized by an “openly-gay” hotelier in April, 2015.

Excerpts from the New York Times:

The dinner and “fireside chat” for about a dozen people with Mr. Cruz and his wife, Heidi, was at the Central Park South penthouse of Mati Weiderpass and Ian Reisner, longtime business partners who were once a couple and who have been pioneers in the gay hospitality industry.

Mr. Cruz also told the group that Peter Thiel, an openly gay investor, is a close friend of his, Mr. Sporn said. Mr. Thiel has been a generous contributor to Mr. Cruz’s campaigns.

…the juxtaposition of Mr. Cruz being the guest of honor at a home owned by two of the most visible gay businessmen in New York City was striking.

This is a “must read” HERE.

God help us!

THE 2016 RACE FOR THE WHITE HOUSE: Are Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio the “New Conservatives”?

Let’s examine this new breed of “conservatives” running for POTUS.

The following is an important excerpt from an article I published on December 10, 2013. It should be of great interest to my readers as they ponder the 2016 U.S. presidential election:

The New World Order that we live under—famously lauded by Republican U.S. President, George Herbert Walker Bush, has indeed grown deep roots in the minds of people all over the world. So much so, that religious leaders, politicians and monarchs who claim to care for the plight of the poor, have either issued statements (as in the Vatican’s statement issued by Francis) or have arrived in Johannesburg for Nelson Mandela’s memorial service, claiming to honor Mandela—a man who shamelessly admired Fidel Castro’s brutal Communist dictatorship, clearly stated as follows:

“From its earliest days, the Cuban Revolution has also been a source of inspiration to all freedom-loving people. We admire the sacrifices of the Cuban people in maintaining their independence and sovereignty in the face of the vicious imperialist-orchestrated campaign to destroy the impressive gain made in the Cuban Revolution… Long live the Cuban Revolution. Long live comrade Fidel Castro.”—Nelson Mandela, July 26, 1991, Cuba

Nelson Mandela and Fidel Castro
Nelson Mandela and Fidel Castro

Another participant in the Mandela memorial service, who shocked many (except for me) was none other than U.S. Senator Ted Cruz from Texas, who issued the following statement, before traveling to Johannesburg:

“Nelson Mandela will live in history as an inspiration for defenders of liberty around the globe. He stood firm for decades on the principle that until all South Africans enjoyed equal liberties he would not leave prison himself, declaring in his autobiography, ‘Freedom is indivisible; the chains on any one of my people were the chains on all of them, the chains on all of my people were the chains on me.’ Because of his epic fight against injustice, an entire nation is now free.

“We mourn his loss and offer our condolences to his family and the people of South Africa.” — U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (Republican-Texas) – December 5, 2013

Ted Cruz has chosen to ignore Mandela’s admitted terrorist past as a Communist.  Cruz has also chosen to ignore the fact that Mandela institutionalized unfettered abortion in South Africa– and that he single-handedly turned South Africa into a nation with some the most liberal laws on earth.

Join Marielena Montesino de Stuart’s Special List of Readers

Based on Cruz’ public statement of admiration for Mandela and his decision to participate in the Mandela memorial event, is it possible that Senator Ted Cruz still harbors admiration for his own father’s participation as a pro-Castro revolutionary activist?  “’He was a guerilla, throwing Molotov cocktails and blowing up buildings,‘ Ted Cruz told the Austin American-Statesman [about his father] for a profile published in January 2006,” according to The Dallas Morning News (October 25, 2011).

How else are we to explain Ted Cruz’ statement honoring Mandela– and his subsequent pilgrimage to South Africa to be at the memorial?

This two-sided political approach is very common in the Cuban exiled community and among those of Cuban descent, who often view their parents’ former socialist pro-Castro activism with starry-eyed idealism, while they also denounce Castro. This inconsistent political behavior is precisely what has divided the Cuban exiled community for more than 50 years.

As I said above, Ted Cruz’ participation in Nelson Mandela’s memorial and his written statement did not take me by surprise. Ted Cruz wants to have it both ways, but principled conservatives do not behave this way.

In what appears to be an obvious attempt to defuse the criticisms he has been receiving, Ted Cruz “walked out” when Raúl Castro was delivering his speech at the Mandela memorial. Too little, too late.

Another admirer of Nelson Mandela is U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, also of Cuban descent. Marco Rubio’s ambiguous account of his family’s return to Cuba afterCastro’s takeover in January 1959, continues to raise questions and eyebrows– considering that the executions of hundreds of innocent Cubans began immediately in 1959, in the fortress of La Cabaña. In addition, it was well known that hundreds of innocent farmers and civilians had been executed throughout the island by Castro and his band of Marxist thugs during their terrorist “revolution.” By 1960 all American businesses in Cuba had been nationalized without compensation– and the United States had broken off diplomatic relations with Havana.

Given these conditions, why did Marco Rubio’s parents leave the United States and return to Cuba to live under Castro?

Although Senator Marco Rubio did not travel to Johannesburg for Mandela’s memorial, his admiration for Nelson Mandela shows that Senator Marco Rubio and Senator Ted Cruz suffer from the same malady of political inconsistency. Much has changed with Rubio since he ran for the U.S. Senate.  Here is Marco Rubio’s statement paying homage to Mandela:

“The world has lost one of history’s most important figures, though Nelson Mandela’s example will live on for generations to come. Men and women striving for justice and fairness around the world have drawn inspiration from Nelson Mandela, and he showed South Africans and the entire world what the power of forgiveness truly means and can accomplish. My wife Jeanette and I send our condolences to the Mandela family and to the people of South Africa.” — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (Republican-Florida) December 5, 2013.

Nelson Mandela and Communism

Nelson Mandela was not a political prisoner. He was imprisoned for espousing violent activities through the Umkhonto we Sizwe (abbreviated MK)– a terrorist organization which he co-founded, as the “armed” wing of the African National Congress (ANC).

During his trial Nelson Mandela pleaded guilty to 156 acts of public violence, which included organizing terrorist bombing campaigns. Scores of innocent people, both black and white, were killed by Nelson Mandela’s Umkhonto we Sizwe terrorists, including women and children. In any other country Nelson Mandela would have been sentenced to death, or would have spent life in prison. Yet, he enjoyed communication privileges unheard of, for a prisoner with such a criminal record.

As such, even Amnesty International, which is well known for its progressive side, would not take on Mandela’s case, since he was not a political prisoner (“prisoner of conscience”). In addition, pursuant to Amnesty International’s criterion, a “prisoner of conscience” must not have used nor advocated violence.

As cruel and abominable as apartheid was, Mandela’s legacy of terrorist violence and support of murderous Communist dictatorships cannot be justified

By the time Mandela came out of prison and became President of South Africa he had given up on the idea of full-blown communism, given that he would not receive aid from the Soviet Union, which had recently collapsed.

Cuba’s communism, which Mandela so admired, was his scariest example of a communist country starving after its long dependence on the Soviet Union.  However, the communists from the former Communist bloc resurfaced through Sustainable Development (Agenda 21)– which is the United Nations socialist global initiative.  The operatives of Agenda 21 have worked tirelessly in Africa to advance socialism– in ways that the Soviet Union could not achieve.  Socialist politicians all over the world, including Mandela, have advanced their causes with the help of Sustainable Development, much more than they ever could with the help of the Soviets.

While Nelson Mandela praised Fidel Castro’s Communist dictatorship, the Strait of Florida had already become a cemetery for untold hundreds of thousands of Cubans who had drowned trying to escape.  This does not include the untold number executed by Castro’s government forces.  After nearly 55 years of Castro’s Communist dictatorship, the human loss has become one of the worst catastrophes recorded in modern history.  But New World Order religious leaders, politicians and monarchs do not feel it is in their best interest to demand that the Communist dagger be removed from the heart of the Cuban people…

ESPRESSO WITH MARIELENA: The wicked and deceitful man

ESPRESSO WITH MARIELENA... Copyright © Marielena Montesino de Stuart. All rights reserved.Judica me, Deus, et discerne causam meam de gente non sancta: ab homine iniquo et doloso erue me.

Do me justice, O God, and fight my fight against an unholy people, rescue me from the wicked and deceitful man.

By Marielena Montesino de Stuart

I am drinking my afternoon espresso and reflecting on the above words from the Ordinary of the Latin Mass– as the Sunday news shows parade atheists, agnostics and believers alike– with their own reflections on the state of our country and the world.

There is something about the Lord’s Day that brings humanity together to ponder solutions for fighting against wickedness and deceit. It’s amazing to listen to Sunday news programs where politicians defend their sense of right and wrong– which most often is quite twisted.

For example, Hillary Clinton believes that one way of fighting evil is to go against those who want to protect innocent babies from being cut into pieces on a Planned Parenthood lab counter. The same goes for the openly socialist and thoroughly atheist Bernie Sanders– who is trailing not far behind Hillary in the polls. They are both frightful.

Considering that today is the Lord’s Day, I want to remain focused on the fact that the purest sense of what is right and what is wrong comes to us through the Commandments of God and the natural law– which binds all men, through all time and in all circumstances. But for people who lack faith— or are poorly formed in their faith, and believe that God has nothing to do with public policy– their sense of right and wrong is generally based on political dogma driven by “social justice.” Social justice is socialism in disguise. Fidel Castro based his “revolution” on “social justice.” Over half a century later Cuba is still under the Castro brutal and bloody dictatorship.

In political discourse we find that convictions are most often based on individual decisions that have little to do with God and the natural law– and everything to do with entitlement. Entitlement is, after all, the driving force in the growing socialist element of our society.

Mixed messages are coming from all directions

Most Republican presidential candidates, including Dr. Ben Carson, when pressed will say that they would have preferred that states decide on homosexual “marriage.” Ironically, Bill Clinton (a Democrat) took a stand against homosexual “marriage” by signing DOMA into law in 1996 (Defense of Marriage Act)– until it was struck down in 2013.

DOMA was a U.S. federal law which was ruled “unconstitutional” in 2013 when Section 3 of the Act was struck down (United States v. Windsor). DOMA defined marriage for federal purposes as the union of one man and one woman– and allowed states to refuse to recognize homosexual “marriages” granted under the laws of other states.

When it comes to abortion, most politicians will say that they are against abortion– “with the exception of rape, incest and life of the mother”– which simply means that they are pro abortion. An example of this travesty is Dr. Ben Carson who claims on his presidential campaign website that he is unabashedly and entirely pro-life“and that “human life begins at conception and innocent life must be protected.”  Yet, when pressed on talk shows Dr. Ben Carson admits to supporting the use of the Abortion Pill in cases of rape and incest. This effectively makes Dr. Carson pro abortion. Period.

Abortion is a matter of life or death. Sorry, Dr. Ben Carson, but you cannot have it both ways.

Carson goes on to say that it is “foolish” not to experiment with the tissues of babies who have already been aborted. If this is how you feel, Dr. Ben Carson, then Americans will never be able to stop Planned Parenthood’s massacre of babies, including the sale of their tissues and body parts.

What is most disturbing about Ben Carson’s statements is that he is a pediatric neurosurgeon, for God’s sake!

With so many political expediency dogmas in place, we can see that religion and God are placed on the back burner–and brought to the front only when politicians need all the help they can get in order to control societal unrest or improve their image. More and more we see how God is used as a convenient tool– and not as the basis for sound public policy.

Without God our earthly efforts become a string of intentional fallacies. For this reason– and in light of our ongoing political reality, which is mostly based on willful delusions, I reflect on the words from the Ordinary of the Latin Mass: Do me justice, O God, and fight my fight against an unholy people, rescue me from the wicked and deceitful man.

It’s time to lift the fog… someone has to say the truth.
