Cubans desperately flee their communist island prison

By Marielena Montesino de Stuart

Tourism ads are appearing on television in an attempt to lure visitors to Cuba, the communist island prison. Meanwhile, Cubans are desperately trying to flee, through any means possible.

Besides the political repression and hunger brought about by the Castro Communist military regime, Cubans are also afraid that the Cuban Adjustment Act, which may facilitate a speedy legal entrance to the United States, could soon come to an end under Obama’s “diplomacy” and love affair with the communists in Havana.

It is both astounding and repulsive to watch the contrast between the tourism ads and the cruel reality of the Cuban people.

Here is the latest report from Pew Research, which shows a 78% increase in Cubans entering the United States this year:

It’s time to lift the fog… someone has to say the truth.
