Espresso with Marielena… a jolt of truth
Things continue to deteriorate in Cuba. Pew Research has recently reported that the number of Cubans trying to make it into the United States has increased exponentially since Obama warmly embraced the Communist Cuban regime. At the center of this surge is the fear that the friendly relations between the United States and Cuba will bring to an end the Cuban Adjustment Act.
Frankly speaking, the Cuban Adjustment Act has been in need of a strong readjustment for quite some time– in order to stop the mockery being made of the political refugee status granted under this act. You see, nowadays it is common to see the new wave of Cuban “refugees” returning to vacation in Cuba. Now, ask yourselves, how do you vacation in a country that you fled because of political oppression? This is an insult to those of us who left Cuba many years ago as legitimate political refugees, with an unwavering conviction to never set foot in Cuba unless it is a free country– without communism or any tinge of socialism. As such, we have suffered for decades, never seeing again the family members who stayed behind, while we continue to denounce the barbarism of the Castro brothers and their oppression of the Cuban people.
During my campaign for the United States Senate in 2012 (Republican, on the ballot FL) I emphasized that in order to take Cuba back from the grips of communism, we had to save the United States first. Sadly, the same oppressive socialist grip is now quickly tightening around the neck of the United States. But in a world that has turned socialist, through Sustainable Development policies enforced more and more everywhere we turn, there’s little hope that the U.S. can be turned around, unless someone with guts and a moral backbone enters the White House. Someone who despises communism– because in every region where terrorism rears its ugly head, you will find China, quietly standing by on the sidelines, as our political and economic opponent– waiting to expand its presence and control of the region through Sustainable Development schemes.
Yes, Islamic extremism is a great threat– but at the end of the day, communism remains our greatest enemy. As such, I continue to keep my eyes on China. Are you?
It’s time to lift the fog… someone has to say the truth.
